Somatic Movement Immersion
A year-long journey into body, relationship, creativity and emergence.
Four seasonal weekends to slow down, listen deeply, explore what is alive in you, and develop a richer relationship with your body, your creativity and the people and world around you.
This is an experiential journey. We learn through moving, sensing, witnessing, creating, relating and reflecting — allowing understanding to grow through experience.
You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you're looking for. You simply need curiosity and a willingness to explore.
What might bring you here?
You might be longing for more space in your life.
You might want to:
reconnect with your body and what you feel
release tension and patterns of holding
listen more closely to your intuition and inner experience
explore movement in a more expressive and creative way
make space for yourself during a time of change or transition
feel more at home in your body
develop greater trust in your own knowing
explore imagination and creativity
experience deeper connection with other people
discover new ways of relating, communicating and being witnessed
spend time in nature and explore your relationship with place
develop somatic skills that you can bring into your existing work
simply give yourself a year of meaningful exploration, practice and discovery.
The journey through the year
Each weekend has its own focus, while contributing to a larger journey of discovery and integration.
-
Coming home to the body.
We begin by developing a relationship with sensation, breath, movement and felt experience.
You'll explore the Central Axis as a foundation for embodied presence, alongside movement, impulse, rhythm, tension, support, release, imagination and creative response.
This is an invitation to slow down, notice what is here and begin to recognise your own embodied experience as a source of information.
-
Discovering yourself in relationship.
From our own embodied centre, we begin to explore what happens when another person enters the field.
You'll be introduced to Authentic Movement and the relationship between mover and witness, developing skills of attention, waiting, presence and discernment.
We'll explore relationship through movement, witnessing and touch, with attention to consent, choice, boundaries and staying connected to yourself while being available to another.
We explore:
Authentic Movement · witnessing · relational awareness · touch · consent · boundaries · presence · discernment · self and other -
Widening the field.
Our attention moves beyond the individual body into relationship with landscape, nature and place.
Through sensory, intuitive and imaginal exploration, we'll work with natural materials, objects, images and creative processes.
We'll explore belonging, calling and contribution, and what becomes possible when we experience ourselves as part of a wider living environment.
We explore:
nature · place · belonging · imagination · symbolism · sensory awareness · creativity · collaboration · relationship -
Bringing the threads together.
The final weekend is a space for reflection, integration and emergence.
We'll revisit and deepen the practices developed throughout the year, exploring support, relationship, creative co-creation and the relationship between pelvis, heart, sensation and movement.
We'll ask: What has changed? What have you discovered? What wants to come forward now?
The year becomes an opportunity to gather what you've learned and consider what you want to carry into your life, relationships, creativity and work.
We explore:
integration · emergence · support · co-creation · creative reflection · relational presence · Central Axis · what comes next -

What you may develop
Over the year, you may find yourself becoming more familiar with your own body and its signals, more able to pause and listen, and more trusting of what emerges when you give experience time and attention.
You may develop a richer vocabulary for sensation, movement and feeling, greater confidence in your creative expression, and a deeper understanding of how you relate to yourself and others.
For those bringing the work into professional practice, the series also offers a way to explore how somatic, relational and creative approaches might inform the spaces you already hold.
Who is it for?
The immersion is open to anyone with an interest in exploring embodied and creative practice.
You might be coming for your own personal development, because you're curious about somatic work, or because you want to deepen the way you work with others.
Therapists, coaches, bodyworkers, yoga teachers, breathworkers, movement practitioners, facilitators and other practitioners may find particular value in the opportunity to experience these practices from the inside and consider how they might inform their work.
No particular movement or dance experience is required.

A journey through the seasons
The Somatic Movement Immersions form a four-part journey through the seasons — each one offering a different experience.
Together, the four immersions create an unfolding body of work, allowing themes and practices to deepen and develop over time. Returning to the work across the year gives space for experience to settle, change and reveal something new.
Each immersion is also a complete experience in its own right, so you are welcome to join for one, two or three immersions if you can't make the whole series.
The full seasonal journey
If you know you'd like to travel through all four seasons with the work, you can book the complete series for £900 — a saving of £100 on the individual immersion price.

A six-week introduction to somatic practice for developing a deeper awareness of your own embodied experience — learning to notice what is happening in your body, to recognise sensation, impulse, feeling and felt sense, and to become more curious about what your experience might be telling you.
Through somatic movement, creative enquiry, imagination and relational practice, you'll develop your capacity to listen to yourself and respond with greater awareness and choice.
We'll explore how the body can become a resource for knowing, creativity and connection, and how paying attention to your own experience can influence the way you move through everyday life, relationships and work.
The course is designed as a space for personal exploration and development, while also offering an introduction to ways of working somatically that you may want to continue exploring in your own life or bring into your professional practice.
